We are honored to be named a semifinalist for The University of Notre Dame's McCloskey New Venture Competition.
Erin received her MBA from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and we entered the competition as an alumni team. It has been a lot of work and we are excited to have made it this far.
Being part of this competition helped force us to put many of the ideas that we had in our head actually down on paper. And, we also developed our business plan to a much deeper level. The McCloskey New Venture Competition is intended to be a learning experience for current students and we're grateful for the support that we received in building the business case from current MBA students Tom, Alex, and Paul and our mentor Jay.
The competition began in November with our first submission. A record 184 teams entered this year. We advanced to Round 2 in December and submitted our 15 page business plan in February. We are thankful that The Notre Dame IDEA Center was able to change the next round from an on-campus event to a virtual event. Semifinals will be held in April and finalist will compete "live" via video conferencing on April 24.
